Well, this is my first blog.
I'm in a funny mood. I barely got any sleep last night because I was writing a research paper about the Knights of the Round Table. As much as I say I dread writing papers, I actually kind of enjoy it. It's amazing to me when I can see something I've created out of a blank sheet of paper. It's almost as though you can never be dissatisfied with what you write because it's always an improvement from a stark white sheet of paper.
Oh, and that paper was created from a tree. How does that even work? I think it'd be fun to go to a paper factory and see. Or it could be even more fun to go to a paper company called Dunder Mifflin in Scranton, PA.
Anyways, as I was saying, I'm in a funny mood because I haven't gotten a lot of sleep. I went to the grocery store to get milk, lemonade, and butter- essentials to the kitchen in my opinion. I came back with so much more. A lot of times when I go to the store, I wind up imagining all the things I could make, and of course, that's what I did because I didn't get a lot of sleep. I chose stuffed shells and chicken & rice. They're both comforts to me because stuffed shells reminds me of my bff's from home, and chicken & rice reminds me of my mom. I made the shells for dinner tonight, and they were yummy. I was perfectly happy in my cozy apartment cooking for one and watching a funny movie- She's the Man. However, like mother like daughter, I made way too many shells :)
Iron Chef's on right now as I type this. I love the Food Network- Paula Deen's my favorite. She was on Oprah a week ago, and she was so funny. I think I could be perfectly happy cooking and baking for a living, which is why I suppose I desire the life of a wife and mother in some ways. It also makes me excited to be teaching young girls how to cook over the summer at Greystone. It'll be a way to cultivate a love of creating in the kitchen in younger generations. It should be amazing fun.
Iron Chef's almost over. The secret ingredients tonight were chocolate and coconut. I found a recipe for S'mores Brownies and Chocolate Souffle earlier today. In the movie Because I Said So, Many Moore makes chocolate souffles. I really want to try to make them because they look so cute and tasty. I feel as though all I'm doing is rambling, so I guess that means it's time for bed.
